Time for an update!

We are all doing great, baby included. The ultrasound pic is from our first ultrasound, bub looks much the same just bigger. This baby wriggles more than Lakiesha ever did, I'm starting to think it's going to be an acrobat or gymnast.

Lakiesha is learning new words all the time unfortunately she picked up on saying sh*t! Charming! So what have we been up to since I last posted, well we are now the proud owners of a red 1989 Nissan Patrol, which we took 4wd the very next day, to the beach at Pipidinny, which was Lakiesha's first real beach trip, she absolutely loved it. Once she got in the water with daddy's help she absolutely had a ball and didn't want to get out of the water even though it was windy, very sandy and a little chilly.

On the 11th of February, David's sister Cheryl, gave birth to a tiny baby boy. Callan Kane looks a bit beat up in the below pic as he had a hard delivery, suction cups and 2 sets of forceps later and out he came.

One day at Playgroup we did painting, so we could display artwork at a community event that we had a stall at, Lakiesha got right into it and painted 3 pictures on the easels as well as walking along the laid out paper to make footprints for our background display. She was absolutely covered in paint by the time she had finished but the important thing was that she'd had fun!

We met this little guy in our backyard at first he was hiding from us under the bush, but pretty soon he came out for a wander around, we got to see him up fairly close and even got some video footage of him eating a bit of bread that we'd actually thrown out to the magpies who come through our yard nearly every afternoon. I'm not sure exactly what he is I thought he looked a bit like a bilby but I'm not sure, I figured that because he was eating bread he's not a carnivore.

A picture taken of Lakiesha on our back verandah, she'd beed cuddling the pole and it had looked really cute but she wouldn't pose for me for this picture and instead pulled a funny face at me before trying to steal my camera.

In Fabric and Button Heaven!!!

I found this totally cute bag of buttons at a local craft store. $9.00 for all these citrus coloured buttons in pinks, oranges, yellows, blues & greens. There's round ones, square ones, sparkly glittery ones, small ones, big ones, some that look like doughnuts. Totally awesome!

I've had a lot of this fabric for a while I had just stuck it in a storage container and forgotten about it so I am now determined to start using it for projects, some scrapping, some just fun have a go and play stuff.

I found this felt at textile traders (then I found it at a craft store for 5c cheaper which adds up if you buy a fair few pieces!) I found a totally cool project to make with felt so I am starting a felt collection. It's a tissue box cover for small square tissue boxes. Really nice and looks fun to make!
