Milestones...

OK so we've mastered crawling, sitting and walking so far and we're onto running. Lakiesha can also blow her own nose, say ta and ta-ta (for goodbye), but Dadda is still the favourite word for my little girl.

Everyday it seems that she conquers something new. She climbs up on to the couch, gets down from the couch, climbs on her toybox and even knows how to get down the back steps all on her own. Most importantly she know how to open the kitchen cupboard doors and she'll bring you the biscuit packet when she's hungry or she'll stand in front of the fridge door yelling. When thirsty she stands in front of the water cooler and yells until you pay attention.

Her latest accomplishment is squealing (yes she know how to do that already!!) and she squeals at you when she doesn't get her way or what she wants and if she feels like it she also hits you and tells you off.

But amongst all the yelling, squealing, hitting and screaming she has quiet time too where she'll just sit quietly and watch one of her favourite movies or be quietly playing with all of her toys. She's grumpy, happy, crazy, tons of fun and the best thing that ever happened to me(other than David) I feel blessed and very lucky to have this little girl in my life, even if she really is Daddy's Little Girl!

A new week...

a new to do list.

There's only one problem it's raining and I really hate winter weather, it's my least favourite part of the year, the funny thing about it though is that I hate the cold, yet I love listening to the rain on our tin roof, it's very calming and peaceful.

Our front yard today.

I am cleaning up the office today, the computer table looks neat, tidy and more organised and as yet I haven't gotten to the sewing table or scrapbook table. (sigh) I am working on a surprise project for Scott and Sherie, secret, secret, I'll reveal photo's of it in a couple of weeks.

My neater office desk.

Ok we're back, custard melties are in the oven as we are all out of biscuits and LJ is hungry. Back again biccy's out of the oven, smell real good too. We're almost recovered from our cold, thankfully. Happy Mother's Day to all of you for yeaterday, I enjoyed the day and last night I stayed up and watched Love Actually on tv, snuggled up on the couch under my doona, a perfect ending to a special day. Leave us a comment and let us know how your mother's day went.

Random thoughts are finished so we will leave you for today. Enjoy what's left of today. Love to you all.

Family Photo's

So I know I already did one post today but this afternoon we had some fun taking photo's all in black and white and a lot of them turned out really nicely so I wanted to share them with you all. well share some of them anyway, though I have to say I don't like photo's of myself in black and white they show up all the freckles I've been trying to forget ever existed. Unfortunately Dave has come down really badly with the flu.

Lakiesha and I are recovering from our cold. Thankfully. Last week David brought me home this little gift and told me I wasn't allowed to open it ever, but that I would understand after I read the poem.

The poem says:

This is a very special gift that you can never see.
The reason it's so special is it's just for you from me.
Whenever you are lonely or ever feeling blue,
You only have to hold this gift and know I think of you.
You never can unwrap it, please leave the ribbon tied.
Jost hold the box close to your heart, it's filled with love inside.

Sweet huh?

I took this picture of Lakiesha yesterday, when Uncle Tony (Donk) and Taylah came to visit us. Uncle Tony finally got his license, YAY!!

Talk to you all soon. Love, hugs and kisses xoxo

I have a sore throat and runny nose, bubby has a runny nose and a bad attitude plus she's waking up cold at 2am due to kicking off her blankets at night. David is fine no cold for him luckily, and still enjoying his job. We have been staying home so we don't give anybody else our germs. well that's our news love, hugs and kisses to you all and next time you get on here leave us a message in the comment box. xoxo

Well we were having a good week until last night. Well up until we got LJ ready for a shower but she barely even got in there when she slipped over again (same shower) and has now taken a chunck of skin off of her cheek. OUCH!! On thursday we went to the movies with Aunty Charlene, Aunty Narelle, Dante and Montana and saw Ice Age 2. We highly recommend it as well worth watching. I wouldn't say it's better than the first, but it's just as great. On friday we went over to Innaloo Shopping Centre and had lunch with Grandad, Kerry, Aunty Narelle and the kids, then after that we stopped in and surprised Dave at work. He's been telling me about his new tool box that he got from Snap on of course. It's definately better than the old one because this one is on wheels so he can take it to wherever he is in the workshop. ooops my girl just fell down again. I put the spongebob squarepants movie on for her for the first time yesterday she absolutely loved it, I have to say it's pretty funny. Well we're not up to much this week going to playgroup, tash and ben are coming to visit some time this week and that's all I think so take care all of you and we'll see or talk to you soon. All our Love hol, dave and lj. xoxo
